Galleries and Prices

Belloware is available in these fine galleries:

Ferrin Gallery,

433 North St.

Pittsfield Ma

(413) 442-1622

Leslie Ferrin and Donald Clark run the finest art gallery in Western Massachusetts, and they have one of the best collections of studio pottery anywhere in the United States. To be in this gallery, with artists whose work I saw on posters in the studio when I was in high school, is one of my proudest achievements as an artist.

Lauren Clark Fine Art Gallery

402 Park St., Housatonic, MA

(413) 274-1432

Lauren Clark runs a beautiful gallery in a blue house in the village of Housatonic. She really likes my pottery, and she is always calling me and coming by the studio for more.

Sheffield Pottery

Rt. 7, Box 399

Sheffield, MA 01257

(888) SPI-CLAY or (413) 229-7700

John and Diane Cowan run this family business, which supplies clay and raw materials to artists like me, as well as schools and industrial concerns thoughout the Northeast. The cardboard boxes come into the studio full of porcelain, and they go back to Sheffield Pottery full of pots. I try to time my visits for quitting time, so I can have a beer and play a game of darts with the crew.

I welcome visitors to my studio in Great Barrington, because it’s important when purchasing a useful, beautiful item to meet the producer. I subscribe to the economic theories of EF Schumacher, and I accept BerkShares – the local currency developed by the Schumacher Society in a bold experiment to prove that small really is beautiful.
