I’ve got a new mug shape. Six panels, with a wide mouth for easy washing. The old style mug, tall and slender, squared and then spun back into round, went out to Anthropologie stores from LA to London. It was the beer that made Milwaukee famous, almost singlehandedly allowing me to keep making pottery for years after the gig ran out. But the more you make, the more you want to try something new, and this new design I think builds on the strength of the old, with lots of vertical lines to catch the glaze. The orange shino was pretty this time, dark and just a little crispy around the edges.
